The Japanese Company Ichimura presents a new concept of advanced material interpretation bringing together for the first time the light weight and strength of Carbon Fiber with the elegance, the sensoriality and beauty of Alcantara®, a unique material of its kind. Toshiyuki Kita created chair seats in Carbon Fiber externally upholstered in grey, blue, red and orange Alcantara®. They will be presented at the Temporary Museum for New Design of Superstudio Più. It’s the first time that an advanced composite material like Carbon Fiber is used in the sector of Interior Design together with Alcantara; the result of this unusual combination is a new object extremely light but at the same time very durable and functional whose shapes are soft and elegant. |
