Tableware and Washi paper lighting designed by Toshiyuki Kita

In 1968, I met one craftsman and learned about the crisis of traditional crafts. From that story, he created a space for paper lighting and ceremonies with the hope of creating tools for our modern and future lives with the same high quality and techniques as in the past. High quality and gentle touch. Each of them is an irreplaceable heritage from the past. These are messages from people who continued to create with soulful passion. What is beautiful, the certainty of authenticity, these are the basis for the quality of many things produced with new materials and modern technology, and they hold the standard. The five senses of human beings have not changed a thousand or a hundred years ago. I believe that the kindness and technology of the wisdom of people in the past will surely be useful in the future. Date: Tuesday, June 27 - Saturday, July 15, 2006 Venue: Gallery anima
