TRONCO
600年余りの歴史を持つ京都の北山杉は、装飾用床柱や茶室に重用されてきた。この自然のシンボルである床柱を育てた山林の持主から、これからの暮らしの中で使えないものかと相談を受け、この長椅子が生まれた。脚はリサイクルに適したアルミニウムを使用。伝統的な方法で育てられた北山杉のベンチは《TRONCO》(イタリア語で丸太の意味)という名でデビューした。
Kitayama cedar in Kyoto, which has a history of more than 600 years, has been heavily used for decorative floor posts and tea rooms. The owner of the forest that nurtured these natural symbols was asked if they could be used in our daily lives in the future, and this chaise longue was born. The legs are made of aluminum, which is suitable for recycling. The bench, made of Kitayama cedar grown in a traditional way, debuted under the name "TRONCO" (meaning "log" in Italian).
