IRON TEA POT

2010 / stile LIFE / Japan

Michinoku(Tohoku region)’s traditional craft “Yamagata Imono(castings)” began with discovery of very suitable sand for sand-mold castings over 900 years ago in the Heian-era that still continues to this day; since then innumerable tea kettles and iron tea pots has been produced. Devoted to the traditional craft, this iron tea pot design embraces the warmth and affection of its unique casting surface texture.
